The Anglican Diocese of Nnewi was established in 1996 during the Decade of Evangelism, a global initiative declared by the Anglican Communion following the Lambeth Conference of 1988. It was carved out of the Diocese on the Niger to further enhance evangelistic efforts and strengthen the Church’s mission.
Our mission is to glorify God through vibrant worship, holistic evangelism, and compassionate outreach. Guided by our vision to be a Christ-centred diocese, we strive to reflect the love of Jesus in every aspect of life, inspiring individuals, communities and churches to be fully alive unto God.
